The Coronavirus has heightened our awareness of these kinds of issues at this time. A 42-tonne fatberg – a giant mass of congealed wet wipes, cloth and oils flushed into our drains and toilets – that was found north of Melbourne is the biggest authorities have seen in the state. https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/petrol-tanker-sized-42-tonne-fatberg-found-in-melbourne-sewer-20200415-p54jyz.html

Major companies are being challenged on their claims and ecological impact

A recent decision in the Australian Judicial System has ruled that even though companies promote their flushable products, in the majority of cases, this is simply not true. These supposed biodegradable wet wipes, sani wipes, baby wipes and cleaning products do not break down and are causing the phenomenon that are referred to as "Fatbergs".

After many years in the making we are proud to present an environmentally friendly alternative to wet wipes and baby wipes. ECOtoosh is simply sprayed on to toilet tissue to create a gentle cleansing wipe. It is suitable for all age groups and also eliminates the need for baby wipes. Both wet wipes and baby wipes are extremely damaging to our waterways as they do not break down and decompose as their makers would have you believe. They are causing major damage to our sewers and septics by creating "Fatbergs" which block the sewerage systems, are difficult to remove and even impact our marine life. The added bonus of using ECOtoosh is that it saves on the amount of toilet paper used.
